Place the patient’s hand on top of the pattern.
Attach the pattern by means of a bandage (distal to proximal).

Pull out the inside edge of the thumb portion in such a way that it can be stuck together with the outer edge of the splint.
Position all the joints while the material hardens.

Finishing:
Cut off any surplus material.
Soften the edges of cover with padding.
Turn the proximal and distal edges outwards.
Fixation:
1 broad (elastic) strap with an access opening over the wrist
1 broad (elastic) padded strap with an access opening over the MCP joints
1 narrow (elastic) strap over the proximal phalanges
1 narrow (elastic) strap attached to the proximal edge.
